Realtalk Toys
by Bret Victor
This entry is a stub, and will be expanded on a future archiving pass.
A series of prototypes in an environment where all “samples” (“facts” and “wishes”) are visible and editable on a timeline.
(See full size.)
Realtalk Camera Toy is a working driver for a USB camera, where all data is visible across time.
Realtalk Recognizer Toy adds a map to the timeline, and explores object recognition and grouping.
Realtalk Table Toy calibrates the projector and camera, and runs programs on individual cards. (Again, all on a visible timeline.)
Realtalk’s claims and wishes originated from these toys.
