Hello Core! Just a reminder that our core meeting is this Saturday 4/17 at 4pm. There will be updates on our (staff’s) end and discussion of what community might look like moving forward. A current thread of thought is that we may (again, as we did last November) put all community events on pause in order to re-examine how we’d do a better job engaging, focusing, and understanding what the relationship between community and research is. If you have thoughts or opinions on this, please come to this meeting! And/or share your thoughts through e-mail. We are also hosting a "future of education" showcase on Dec 7, 6:30-8:30pm to invite local educators, folks involved with education orgs, friends, and family. The purpose of the showcase is to engage a wide range of educators and learners in the space and enhance our collective vision of the future of education with a broader audience. We got a grant from ****** to put this event on. Anushee (welcome!), our newest volunteer who joins us from the future of education gatherings, Eli, Weiwei and I are spearheading this event, and if you’re interested in helping out, holler! We are meeting tomorrow (Nov 15) @ 6:30pm to go over logistics and invites for the event, and we can give updates on Saturday as well. Cheers! - Paula
