Following up on what I mentioned this afternoon, this is a sketchy floor plan showing the many uses of a large space for introducing the public to dynamic spatial media.
Near the entrance are low-barrier-to-entry crowd-pleasers (and potential-donor-pleasers) such as games and educational exhibits. Going further in towards the gallery/archives leads to deeper / more-thought-required dynamic media. The tutorial path is a special path of games that leads (both conceptually and physically) into the public workspace.
There are many reasons for people to visit -- play dynamic physical games in the arcade, take a class or see a presentation on the dynamic stage, study in the dynamic library, build in the seeing space, learn to author in our platform, author in our platform... All of these activities involve the platform -- these are all magical activities that are only possible within our magical lab.
Many of the games, educational exhibits, art installations, gallery exhibits, etc would not be made by us! They would be made by artists-in-residence, guests, students, friends-of-the-lab.
(The lab wouldn't look like this from day one, of course. These areas would gradually take shape over a couple years.)

For reference, here is a floor plan from back when the research agenda was a floor plan and the lab didn't exist yet.
