Subject: Edlund on analog versus digital
An interesting interview with Richard Edlund about the visual effects for the film Poltergeist (the original—coincidentally, a remake [why?!!!] was just released). He touches on the the differences between working in analog versus digital, making the case for both for different reasons. I cut together a four-minute edit of the interview highlighting the parts that interested me most.

I also wondered (but didn’t look around much) how to easily transcribe the interview: is there an equivalent to OpenCV for speech? I know the Mac has built-in dictation, so maybe I could wrangle that somehow.
