I've been making a bunch more mockups of this environment lately. Take a gander at my whiteboard if you want to see them all. I thought I'd share one that I'm particularly excited about:

This is an extension of the what-if ideas in Legible Mathematics and Time and Decision and is surely related to staring at the Time and Decision table in the library. Other what-iffing tools to come.

I've been thinking about this language / environment for about 2 years and now it seems like I'm actually doing it. I'm collaborating with Alex Warth, and making mockups to show him what kinds of things I have in mind. In our discussions, Alex has actually predicted some of the functionality I have planned but not mocked up—seems like a good sign.

Here's a simple program (that I've actually written in Python) trying to pin down what this thing is going to look like. I have dozens of ideas about the environment that aren't (yet) conveyed in the mockup, so if you have any critiques please keep that in mind and be gentle.
