Hey all,
I'm about ready to release a thing I've been working on:
Inspired by
Bret's "Media for Thinking the Unthinkable" page thing and
Explorable Explanations (and several other things, see the bottom of the page for more details), I've attempted to make a page thing that makes video less of an opaque and linear medium. I'm calling it an
active video as an homage to Alan's active essays, even though I suspect Alan will be annoyed by that name :)
The video I chose is an episode of an amazing documentary about America's civil rights years, Eyes on the Prize. The episode is about school integration in the south in the late 50s and early 60s.
It would be great if you could all play around with it and let me know what you think, especially if you find any bugs. I'll be releasing it sometime in the next week if there are no show-stopping bugs.
Thanks!
Glen
