Realtalk 2020
by Bret Victor, Josh Horowitz, Luke Iannini, Omar Rizwan
This entry is a stub, and will be expanded on a future archiving pass.
2019's effort to design a new Realtalk that was entirely visible, down to the low-level memory and process details.
Initial plans in the Progress report (2019), p 7.
Subprojects include Clause cards, Process viewer, Zone timelines, Struct viewer, Tangible memory, Tangible tasks, Frame explainer, Visible reactor, Handled queue, Autocalibration, and more once they all get archived.
Many of these subprojects are demonstrated in the Progress report (2020).
Interrupted by Covid, and resumed as Realtalk 2020 (2020) with a more pragmatic approach. (For a research project, “pragmatic” does not necessarily mean “better”.)
